Mischievous Sheep Cause Trouble

Mischievous sheep have caused trouble for residents of Fjarðabyggð municipality, East Iceland, this summer, Vísir reports. Sheep, which are given free range in the countryside during the summer in Iceland, have been the cause of disturbances and damage to the towns and townspeople.

Fjarðabyggð is comprised of six fjords and is the easternmost municipality in Iceland.

Among the complaints are damage to flowerbeds the municipality and private businesses have planted.

“We have looked at the issue. In some places better fences could be the solution,” stated Páll Björgvin Guðmundsson, mayor of Fjarðabyggð.
